Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply?

We recommend that only pilots with at least 50 hours logged in US airspace apply. We only accept applicants who demonstrate clear proficiency and familiarity with pilot-controller communications.

Are there any commitments?

We recommend that reviewers commit at least 10 hours of work per week (some contribute significantly more), and we hope you stay on as a reviewer for several months at least. That said, there are no contractual obligations to work at a certain cadence or for a certain duration.

What does the work look like?

Our reviewers edit AI-pre-transcribed transcripts of pilot-controller communications in small segments via our highly optimized dashboard. The work can be done flexibly on your schedule, from your laptop.

Do I have to be in the US?

We welcome Experts from outside of the US. However, our Experts will be reviewing audio from US-based airspace, so deep familiarity with US pilot-controller communications is required.

How do I get paid?

All experts are paid on a weekly basis. Payment is based on a formula that takes into account the accuracy of the reviewer, as well as the number of transmissions accurately reviewed. Most reviewers earn the equivalent of $18-$35 per hour.
